Electrical Stimulation

​Electrical stimulation is often used in biology research field as a mean of achieving therapeutic effect without using any drugs. Numerous researches have shown various benefits on protection of neuronal cells. It is a well-researched field but the adoption of such ES technology in medical devices are challenging. Conventional ES devices for eyes either injure the eye’s surface or suffer high variability even from day to day. 
​Neurotech’s innovative solution overcomes these problems by developing wireless implant technology in a milli-meter scale. Any update or feedback to the doctor can be programmed in a wireless fashion. Our device reduces harm to the eye and increases treatment effectiveness.

In order to achieve reliable power and data transmission through human body at high safety level, our engineering team has designed a novel system, resulting in multiple academic papers and 5 patents around the world.

​Integrated Circuit technology

We developed our own Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) which is designed towards the goals to achieve 1) Ultra low power consumption, 2) high reliability and 3) secured communication. 

​Wireless power transfer for implant device

Special techniques were developed to maintain high wireless power transfer efficiency at Radio Frequency domain.
Resulting a stable RF energy harvesting regardless of relative motions occurs in daily motion.

​Nanofabrication for bio-compatible substrate

Bio-compatible substrate is crucial when designing and fabricating human implant device. We collaborated with nano-fabrication laboratory to research and develop long-term bio-compatible materials for our applications.
